The MRICD Chemical Casualty Care Division (CCCD) works closely with the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases to conduct the Medical Management of Chemical and Biological Casualties course (MCBC) and the Field Management of Chemical and Biological Casualties course (FCBC). Both MCBC and FCBC courses are listed in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Grants and Training Federal Sponsored Course Catalog as well as the DHS Compendium of Federal Terrorism Training for State and Local Audiences. The MCBC course has been identified by the US Government Accountability Office as the military "gold standard" for the nation. These courses are offered as resident (In-House), nonresident (Off-Site), and through distance learning. The courses are accredited for continuing medical education (CME/CEU) credits for physicians, nurses, and paramedical professionals and are recognized by the military as professional development courses.
